Meet Verena, our Group Warranty Manager
Verena Neufeldt is one of the Oberalp employees who is particularly passionate about her job. With almost two decades of experience in the company, she knows Oberalp like the back of her hand. She has made a name for herself in various areas of the company and has been working in the newly created position of Group Warranty Manager since October 2021. This means that Verena is responsible for setting up new processes in the area of complaints and repairs. In this way, the long-standing Oberalp family member not only makes a significant contribution to customer satisfaction, but also plays a key role in driving forward the fulfillment of Oberalp's sustainability strategy Contribute.
Verena loves building something new and getting to grips with new people, work areas and methods, which is why she sees her job more as a vocation than a profession. It fascinates her to deal with topics she had little or nothing to do with before, to delve deeper into them, to understand things and to optimize them. It is particularly important to her that her work is meaningful and brings about positive change. One piece of life wisdom that guides her time and again comes from Heraclitus of Ephesus: "Nothing is as constant as change," and with her tenacious, pragmatic and curious nature, she is certainly not afraid of change, because she knows exactly where she wants to go and where her priorities lie. This is also reflected in her daily work, as Verena is described by colleagues as someone who gets to the heart of things, is goal-oriented, thorough and works accurately.
I try to take a step back in difficult moments and look at problems with distance, so that I can then make objective decisions.
No less exciting than Verena's professional side is her private one: you could well call her a jack-of-all-trades, as her interests are varied and range from baking to creative crafts; Verena is passionate about tailoring and loves dancing, which translates into over 30 years of active ballet classes. Her priority is her family and friends, who are especially important to her. Verena is helpful and empathetic, and honesty and trust are also elementary for any kind of interpersonal relationships, basically those values that are also actively lived at Oberalp.
Verena is certainly not someone who pushes herself to the fore, that is not important to her, but it is important to her that everyone is doing well. Even though she is reserved, her charismatic manner and warm smile immediately take you in. She gives the impression of being game for anything: just ready for anything right away. Verena wants to have fun in what she does, and she does.
"Of course, not everything is always fun and quite often it means keeping a cool head at work, especially in the customer area" smiles Verena. "I try to take a step back in difficult moments and look at problems with distance, so that I can then make objective decisions."
Verena's motivation to work at Oberalp lies in the inspiring, multi-layered and challenging environment that she finds fun and mentally stimulating. Verena is actively committed to change and improvement, not afraid to question or be constructively critical in order to create improvement. This makes her a role model for many at Oberalp and the company can be proud that Verena is part of the Oberalp family.
